The upgrade of the Digital Control System & the modifications to the air conditioning systems required the removal of the obsolete Staefa building management control system and provision of new Johnson BACnet control system, re-engineering the air distribution systems and air conditioning plant to improve internal temperature control and air quality, improve plant operation and reduce energy costs. Glen Tatam was involved with the investigation of the existing Staefa control system, re-engineering the control system to suit the air conditioning modifications as well as the re-engineering of the airflow for 15 off separate air distribution systems, together with re-engineering the performance requirements of the fan coil units, chilled water and heating water flow rates.
