This project involved the removal of the existing control systems associated with the air conditioning and mechanical ventilation and the provision of a new digital control system incorporating improved control logic resulting in improved space temperature control, improved operation and performance of the existing mechanical services plant, improved monitoring of performance of the air conditioning plant and improved energy efficiency. Mr Glen Tatam was the project engineer and was involved with the initial review of the existing air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems to determine the philosophy of the design and control of the air conditioning systems and identify where enhancements could be made to the control system control logic to improve plant operation, improve indoor air quality and realize a reduction in energy consumption.
