Director

As Director of ACMV Design Consultants Pty Ltd, Glen Tatam is responsible for all engineering and project management within the company and takes direct control and responsibility for each project. Glen has over 40 years in the air conditioning mechanical services industry and working across the industry spectrum in the design, construction, installation and commissioning of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems has resulted in a wealth of experience as well as a sound reputation for providing a high level of engineering design expertise through design concept, tender documentation, project management and commissioning to ensure that the clients’ desired outcomes are achieved.

Glen has also presented educational seminars to industry on energy efficiency design of air conditioning systems, the utilization of energy efficient control system control logic and the impact of NABERS and Green Star on design requirements. Glen has also been involved with a number of published technical papers:

Glen and all ACMV Design engineers utilize the BEAVER computer program in-house to carry out building energy simulations and to investigate the energy efficiency options for various types of chillers, boilers, ductwork systems and control logic that could be utilized in new and existing buildings. BEAVER also incorporates parameters for compliance with the Building Code of Australia, Section J – Energy Efficiency. He also ensures that the latest software available for HVAC commercial and industrial design is utilised for the benefit of our clients and to ensure the best outcomes and is proficient in AutoCAD and BlueBeam programmes.

  • Diploma of Mechanical Engineering
  • National Accredited Practitioner – Australian Institute of Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH)
  • Designers Certificate of Remote Area Power Systems
  • Business Management Certificate
  • Certificate in Air Conditioning ( Design Compliance)

ESD Qualifications

  • National Accredited Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (NABERS) Energy Star Rating Assessor (Retired), for assessment of energy star rating for existing office buildings
  • Member of the national NABERS Design Review Panel (Retired)
  • Green Star Accredited Professional (Retired)
